    “2014 Domestic Iron Ore Industry Chain Summit”, co-organized by Metallurgical Mines` Association of China (MMAC) and Mysteel, will be held in Jinan, Shandong province during September 3-5, 2014. We sincerely invite delegates from global iron ore industry to the summit for deeper comprehension of domestic iron ore market.
    The iron ore production has been greatly increased and it is expected to reach 150 million tons, but China’s domestic iron ore still have difficulties in sustainable development due to the factors like the limitation of resource endowment and the heaven burden of taxation. The operation and survival of China’s mines remains a tough task for them. Meanwhile oversea mines are accelerating the process of production expansion to cover a larger portion of market. The survival of miners would depend on whether their cost is sufficiently low. Domestic iron ore industry needs to pursue technological innovation to achieve cost reduction so that it can sustain new challenges.
    Apart from domestic miners trade houses and mineral dressing enterprises are also confronted with unparalleled difficulty. How to gain more profits against the background of depressed iron ore market? Currently, the diversification and financialization of iron ore is becoming increasingly apparent. It has become enterprises' first choice to make reasonable use of imported iron ore resources to increase dressing profits and use financial tools such as futures to pursue hedge.
    Compared with the conference held in Shijiangzhuang last year, this conference newly adds free simultaneous forum and seminar for key enterprises in order to provide a better platform for exchange of ideas. In addition, experts from China government authorities, industry associations and research institutes will deliver speeches and discuss the future development of domestic iron ore with you in the conference.
